Do you need help with computers, laptops, tablets, iPads and smartphones?
Computer Club meets Wednesdays 2.00 - 3.00pm at Portchester Hub and costs £3.00, come along!
The Computer Club is a chance for local people to drop in and discuss with an expert volunteer the issues you may have with a variety of different devices including: computers, Laptops, iPads, tablets and smartphones. As we become more reliant on technology, purchasing online, banking online and socialising online, this can sometimes feel like a mine field. Our group offers the support people need to build their confidence, so they can get the most out of their device.
The feedback received has been extremely positive, members have sometimes been struggling with an issue for years and we can help fix it in under an hour!
Also, if you are needing a course to really get to grips with you new device, we run a variety of courses throughout the year which may help you if you feel you need further tuition. Courses such as beginners computer courses and iPad/tablet courses.
The drop in Computer club meet on Wednesdays 2:00 - 3:30 at Portchester Hub and costs £3.00 per session.
PCA managed the Community Centre in Portchester for 50 years until the lease for the new building was awarded to Portchester Community School. We are now based at the Community Hub at 2 New Parade, 38 West Street Portchester.
The Association is a registered charity and is governed by a board of trustees. Trustees are elected and nominated by association members, which represent Sections (groups) who are as diverse as Andy Pandy Pre-school to Paradise in Portchester (our over fifties club).
PCA is an independent charitable membership organisation providing activities, facilities and services to local people. Founded in 1962, PCA runs many member-led groups (known as Sections), organises events and works in partnership with local agencies to address community needs. In 2013, PCA moved to its current central location where it has developed new initiatives to meet local interests. Activities include arts, sports, IT, pre-school, children and family services, adult and community learning and services for older people. PCA also organises the Portchester Gala and the Precinct Christmas tree and lights.
